Joint Managing Directors, Bob Steward and Mark Hart recently had the pleasure of attending the Hop to It! Suffolk 2025 Art Trail matching event, a celebration of creativity and community held on Wednesday evening.
This exciting event is part of Hop to It! Suffolk 2025, a unique initiative by St Elizabeth Hospice in partnership with Wild in Art, designed to bring vibrant art installations to the streets of Suffolk. This project will feature a collection of large hare sculptures, each one custom-painted by a local artist, and strategically placed across the county to form a colourful art trail for the community to enjoy.
As proud sponsors, Barnes Construction had the chance to take part in the selection process, reviewing an impressive array of design submissions from talented artists across the region. Each design brought something unique, and it was inspiring to see the artists’ visions for how these sculptures could engage, inspire and uplift the community.
The Hop to It Art Trail is much more than just a celebration of public art. Every sculpture helps raise funds and awareness for St Elizabeth Hospice, which has long been dedicated to providing essential palliative care to patients and families across Suffolk.
Barnes Construction are excited to support this inspiring cause once again and are eagerly looking forward to the launch of the trail next year, when Suffolk’s streets will come alive with these spectacular sculptures.
