Barnes supports year of community reporting in Ipswich - Barnes Construction

Barnes Construction has joined forces with fellow Ipswich business Axter Flat Roofing Systems to become a Community Impact Partner of Ipswich.co.uk, helping fund a year of local journalism dedicated to shining a spotlight on the charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations making a difference across the town.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting the community that both businesses call home. While Barnes and Axter operate in different parts of the construction sector, they are united by a desire to celebrate the organisations and individuals working to make Ipswich a better place to live and work.

Headquartered at Ransomes Europark, Barnes has been part of Ipswich’s business community for nearly 50 years. The company delivers over £100 million of construction projects annually across the East of England and remains deeply committed to supporting the communities in which it works.

Each year, the business donates one per cent of its group profits to charitable causes and supports a wide range of local organisations, including St Elizabeth Hospice, FIND Ipswich, Lighthouse Women’s Aid, Suffolk Mind, Home-Start Suffolk and youth charity 4YP.

Alongside financial support, Barnes employees regularly take part in volunteering initiatives and community projects, helping create a lasting impact beyond the construction projects the company delivers.
