Barnes Construction’s latest project, a six-storey, 113-bedroom Travelodge hotel in London’s Chiswick, is making impressive progress as it moves closer to completion.
This new hotel will provide a welcoming space for visitors with modern accommodations, a bar café, ancillary areas, and associated external works. The structure is designed with a steel podium and Metsec frame.
In recent weeks, the Chiswick site has reached several critical milestones. The mechanical and electrical first fix has been completed in the bedrooms, with tape and jointing in motion as rooms prepare for decoration. Meanwhile, the external brickwork façade is nearing completion and joinery work is well underway, with skirting, architraves and door installations progressing. Lift installation has also begun, ensuring the hotel will be equipped with the latest amenities.
This project follows on from Barnes Construction’s success in delivering the London Wimbledon Central Travelodge in 2022, alongside ongoing work at Travelodge Stratford. This latest scheme marks the 47th project in a partnership that has spanned over 32 years, adding to the more than 3,800 hotel rooms Barnes has delivered for Travelodge across London and the Southeast.
Barnes Construction remains committed to delivering another top-quality hotel for Travelodge, due to open its doors early next year.
