We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Fisher as Associate Divisional Director at Barnes Construction. Having previously spent 18 years with the business, Martin returns with a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the values and culture that have shaped Barnes over many years.
Martin first joined Barnes Construction in 1997 after graduating with a degree in Construction Management. Beginning his career as a Contracts Supervisor, he progressed through a variety of roles spanning site management, project management and contracts management, building extensive experience across the business.
After leaving Barnes in 2015, Martin held senior leadership and director-level positions with both major national contractors and established regional businesses. During this time, he led the successful delivery of a number of significant and complex projects across the Eastern region, further strengthening his expertise in leadership, project delivery and operational performance.
Returning to Barnes in 2026, Martin will provide strategic leadership and support the continued growth of the business. He is known for his collaborative approach, positive management style and strong relationships with colleagues, clients and supply chain partners.
A strong advocate of the non-adversarial culture for which Barnes Construction is recognised, Martin is passionate about teamwork, partnership and open communication, helping to create the conditions for successful project delivery and lasting client relationships. Martin’s appointment further strengthens our leadership team as we continue to support the long-term success and sustainable growth of Barnes Construction.
