It was constructed using a reinforced concrete frame with a lightweight roof level plant room and roof terrace enclosure. The external building envelope was formed with a combination of facing brickwork, aluminium frameless windows, curtain walling and brise soleil. Internally, the building has been finished to a high standard with the use of high-quality materials.

The project was initially significantly over budget. We engaged with our supply chain and design team throughout the second stage, presenting numerous options to maximise value without diluting design intent. The scheme was ultimately delivered within the client’s budget.

We worked closely with the College throughout the course of the works, ensuring that our activities caused minimal disruption. Carefully programmed deliveries ensured that we avoided peak times for traffic on the site. We also provided a two-week work experience placement for a student, enabling them to enhance their understanding of the construction process.
