We are delighted to announce that two of our recently completed projects for Kings College have been shortlisted for the Greater Cambridge Design and Construction Awards 2025.
Kings College Chapel was a “once in a lifetime” project, restoring the roof by fixing the timber structure and replacing 91 tonnes of lead. It also saw the installation of 420 solar panels which will help with the College’s Carbon Reduction strategy and cut carbon emissions by 23 tonnes a year. Spalding Hostel was a complex refurbishment of existing student accommodation, creating 70 bedrooms with gyp rooms (kitchenettes) and bathroom facilities. The scheme focussed on improving accessibility and de-carbonisation by applying several ENerPHit Passivhaus principles through the design.
