The project was delivered over two phases:

Phase One involved the construction of the new covered Planteria and external display areas. A steel framed Planteria structure with a polycarbonate roof was constructed between three existing buildings and this formed a covered plant display space. A large open block-paved plant display area was also constructed, and this phase of work included the installation of new drainage, an irrigation system, and electrical services.

Phase Two saw the demolition of the existing glasshouses and outbuildings to the rear of the store, followed by the construction of a new single-storey steel portal framed building incorporating the new restaurant, servery area, kitchen, and customer toilets. This phase also included new high-quality finishes, purpose made servery counters and joinery fittings, a full catering kitchen installation and mechanical and electrical building services.
