The four-storey building was constructed using a timber frame, with a structural steel frame podium to the Reception and Café areas. Works also included extensive hard and soft landscaping, as well as associated highways works.

Site access was challenging, located next to the A13 and on a busy road which was a bus route. To ensure that our activities caused minimal disruption, we carefully programmed deliveries to ensure that vehicles were not queuing on the highway.

We ensured that we engaged fully with the local community throughout the works. Activities included distributing newsletters to nearby homes and businesses to inform them of project progress, upcoming works, and contact details for the project team.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We partnered with two schools during the course of the project, attending careers fairs for sixth form students. We also took on local labour from within the London Borough of Newham, including ex offenders and those who have been long term unemployed.
