MARTIN FISHER
Associate Divisional Director
Martin first joined Barnes Construction in 1997 after graduating from university with a degree in Construction Management. Beginning his career as a Contracts Supervisor, he quickly progressed through the business, gaining experience in site management before advancing into project management and subsequently contracts management roles.
Following a successful period with Barnes, Martin broadened his experience in 2015 by taking on senior leadership and director-level roles with both major national contractors and established regional businesses. Leading the successful delivery of some of the Eastern region's most significant and complex developments, this experience has further strengthened his reputation for leadership, project delivery and attention to detail.
Martin rejoined Barnes Construction in 2026 as an Associate Divisional Director. In this role, he provides strategic leadership and plays a key role in driving operational performance, fostering client relationships, supporting business growth, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and customer satisfaction are achieved.
Passionate about building collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships, he is a strong advocate of the non-adversarial culture for which Barnes Construction is recognised, championing teamwork, partnership and open communication as the foundations of successful project delivery, building lasting relationships and delivering successful outcomes for our clients.

“When you are the client of a project, you need to be able to allow the supplier and contractors to be able to just get on with it. You also need full trust and knowing that they are going to support you with resolution of any issues. You need them to get to know you as a business and understand your aims to the reason this project is been done.
