THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF THE PHASED REFURBISHMENT OF AN EXISTING TWO STOREY OFFICE AND LABORATORY BUILDING. THE WORKS WERE COMPLETED IN SIX PHASES AND THE PROJECT WAS PROCURED VIA A SINGLE SOURCE NEGOTIATION ROUTE
Externally, the main feature of this part of the project was the formation of a new two storey entrance statement structure. This was formed using a new steel frame structure clad with a combination of black granite rainscreen cladding and full height frameless glazing. Internally, the project included a full refurbishment to the open plan office and laboratory areas, formation of new clean rooms, individual office and meeting room areas and replacement of finishes and fittings to the staff kitchen and toilet areas. The project also included the extensive replacement of the mechanical, electrical and data services installations.
