The project comprised of the redevelopment and expansion of the Rosehill Retail centre which included the construction of 3 new retail shells for occupation by Aldi, Greggs and Fit 4 Less. In addition, remodelling of an existing store was included to allow the Coop to relocate to a smaller unit.
The scheme was completed in several phases to ensure the existing retail units could remain operational during the works. The units were also constructed to ‘shell’ specification to allow the retailers to undertake the fit out to their own individual requirements.
The retail units were constructed using steel frame single storey structures with the building envelope formed with a combination of glazed curtain walling, facing brick cavity wall construction and insulated wall cladding. The roof construction was formed using an insulated roof cladding system.
The project also included the formation of additional remodelled external car parking areas, landscaping, drainage, services and the construction of an extended rear goods delivery yard area.
