New Farmhouse, College Farm, Creeting St Mary, Suffolk

The new dwelling was constructed using predominately timber framed structure with a steel frame support structure to the ground floor areas to support both the building and create the open plan style living areas. The materials used for the external areas include timber larch cladding and reclaimed clay pantiles that were salvaged from the former farmhouse

A high emphasis on sustainable construction was used throughout the design and construction of the property

  • Recycled newspaper and lambswool insulation materials used
  • Rainwater harvesting system installed
  • Foul drainage discharge into reed bed system
  • Ground source heat recovery system installed
