The project comprised of the construction of a 420 place Primary School and standalone 30 place Nursery incorporating new classrooms, activity areas, library, school hall and kitchen facilities. The project was procured via a Mini Competition process under a Framework arrangement.
The project was constructed on a 'greenfield' site in support of a new housing development. The two storey Primary School building was constructed using a steel frame structure with a single ply membrane type roof finish. Externally, the building was clad with a combination of Thermawood timber cladding and through coloured decorative render fixed to a Metsec light gauge steel framing system. The project also included the construction of the hard and soft play areas in addition to drainage and services installations.
The Nursery building was constructed using traditional masonry construction and finished to match the new Primary School.
External works comprised of hard and soft landscaping, play areas, a MUGA pitch facility, grass pitches, car parking area and drainage and services.
