THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW 320 PLACE PRIMARY SCHOOL INCORPORATING NEW CLASSROOMS, ACTIVITY AREAS, LIBRARY, SCHOOL HALL AND KITCHEN FACILITIES. THE PROJECT WAS PROCURED VIA AN NEC PARTNERING CONTRACT UNDER A FRAMEWORK ARRANGEMENT
The project was constructed on a 'greenfield' site in support of a new housing development. The building was constructed using a cross laminated timber frame structure with a single ply membrane type roof finish. Externally, the building was clad with a combination of larch timber cladding and through coloured decorative render. The project also included the construction of the hard and soft play areas in addition to drainage and services installations.
