Congratulations to Site Manager, Wayne Fleet and Senior QS, Matt Mclaughlin who have both won national awards for their good work.
Wayne Fleet was presented with the SPACES Young Visionary Award – Contractor, in recognition of managing the delivery of the Barking Town Hall project. The judges were impressed by his great customer awareness, management and site skills along with the confidence and communication skills for someone with limited site management experience. They were also impressed with how he constantly strived to deliver over and above what would normally be expected.
Matt Mclaughlin has won the ‘National Rising Star Award’ at the annual Interact national lunch. He was up against other regional Interact winners, having received the ‘Nick Fayers Ipswich Interact Rising Star Award’ at this year’s SJCC awards supper. Matt has successfully moved through the ranks becoming an Assistant QS, QS, and then Senior QS, collecting on the way an Honours degree from Anglia Ruskin University. He is currently managing various multi-million-pound schemes as well as some of Barnes’s key frameworks, and during his time with the business, he has mentored successive new management trainees helping them on their career journey.
