Construction on Southend’s only adult hospice is progressing well with the concrete pour of the foundations now halfway through.
Designed by LSI Architects, Barnes Construction is the main contractor for the £16 million new Fair Havens project which when completed in 2020 will provide a modern hospice that is able to care for twice as many patients, offer more treatments and support more families in a welcoming and therapeutic environment.
Steve Smith, New Fair Havens Project Director, said, “It’s great to see construction underway, not just for the charity but for the whole community.”
