Some of the children who will be part of the first intake at a new primary school being built by Barnes in Oulton near Lowestoft have paid a visit to the construction site.
Opening in the early Autumn, The Limes Primary Academy will be run by the REAch2 Academy Trust and initially offer 60 places in Reception with a capacity to eventually accommodate 420 children.
Representatives from Concertus and Barnes were on hand to issue the young visitors with their own special hi-vis vests and hard hats. They then showed them and their carers around the school which is now in the fit-out stage where all the internal work is being carried out.
Head Teacher Kate Cracknell said: The academy has been designed so it can be used by the local community outside the school day. We are very pleased with how the building work is progressing and the children were especially excited to take a trip around their new school. The Limes Primary Academy will offer exceptional opportunities for learning for everyone in a building which we hope will become the central hub of the community.”
