The UK Managing Director of Festool, Ole Held, has taken part in a ground-breaking event at Suffolk Business Park in Bury St Edmunds, to mark the start of construction on its new £9.5 million UK headquarters.
The power tools manufacturer’s UK base has been at Saxham Business Park in the town for the last 20 years and Pick Everard were appointed by Festool to evaluate several options for potential relocation or renovation.
Barnes is building the 2,800 square metre, two-storey headquarters which includes a warehouse, office space, demonstration and meeting rooms, as well as a service centre, cafe and show zone. When completed in Spring 2019, Festool’s 40 UK office-based employees will move from Saxham Business Park to their new home on the Suffolk Business Park.
Ole Held commented “Festool has expanded extensively over the past five years and this new office will enable the company to not only achieve its future growth plans but will also reflect Festool’s premium brand status.”
Suffolk Business Park is a new gateway development to the east of Bury St Edmunds and The Churchmanor Estates Company is the Joint Venture Development Partner responsible for the promotion and development of Suffolk Business Park.
