As a result of its continued growth, Ipswich-based Barnes Construction has promoted a new member of its team to Associate Divisional Director.
Tony Garnham has been appointed to the Divisional Director Senior Management Team, where he will work alongside the existing board to support and drive the company’s future growth and success.
Tony joined the company in 2008 as a Quantity Surveyor, progressing to Surveying Manager and later Commercial Chief Cambridge. He has played a key role in driving the company’s growth and success in Cambridge, overseeing over 40 projects for Cambridge College’s and working with his teams to deliver numerous award-winning complex schemes. He oversees the financial and contractual aspects of each project from inception to completion, to ensure cost effective solutions, risk mitigation and delivery of high-quality outcomes across all phases of the projects.
Tony is renowned for his collaborative and honest approach and excels in building strong relationships with clients, consultants, supply chain partners and colleagues. He has been influential in the development and mentoring of our Quantity Surveying team and ensuring our non-adversarial values are maintained.
This promotion brings our Associate Divisional Director team to a total complement of five, following the recent promotions of Damien Kerry, Dan Mackenzie, Daniel Sheldrake and Matthew Ramplin in January 2024.
