THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF THE DEMOLITION OF THE FORMER WEST VILLA BUILDING AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW TWO RIVERS MEDICAL CENTRE.
Incorporating GP Consulting rooms, Nurse Treatment rooms, Minor Ops facility, Triage rooms, Medical records storage areas, reception and patient waiting areas, pharmacy area and staff administration areas.
The new two storey building was constructed using a steel framed structure with precast concrete prestressed upper floors and staircases. The external envelope of the building was formed with a combination of through coloured render and Rockwool decorative rainscreen cladding supported of a metsec steel external wall framing system together with timber composite windows and external screens. The mono pitch roof was formed with an insulated roof cladding system.
Internally, the room spaces were formed with a combination of blockwork and metal stud partitions. Good quality robust healthcare type finishes were installed together with fixed medical furniture and specialist equipment. The building also incorporates medical type mechanical and electrical building services.
