THE PROJECT COMPRISED ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TWO STOREY SIXTH FORM BLOCK REQUIRED IN ORDER TO CATER FOR AN INCREASE IN THE SIXTH FORM INTAKE OF 200 PUPILS PER YEAR GROUP. THE PROJECT WAS PROCURED VIA AN NEC PARTNERING FORM OF CONTRACT
The two storey building was constructed using a steel frame structure with a composite steel and concrete first floor slab and steel staircases. The roof finish comprised of a standing seam steel roof cladding system and externally, the building envelope was formed using a render finished blockwork cavity wall construction with aluminium windows and doors.
