The project consisted of a new two storey eight classroom building, a new classroom extension to the reception block, smaller extensions to the head’s office and main existing hall. An area within the existing Victorian building was remodelled including the kitchen and the installation of new appliances.
The main building was steel frame construction with Metsec infill panels, with a mixture of face brickwork and Thermowood cladding façade. We also installed aluminium feature multi-coloured windows and grey external doors. The roof was a built up system of cladding sheets, insulation and single ply membrane roof covering.
Following demolition of relocatable classrooms, we constructed a MUGA pitch and a large playground. We also created additional parking spaces for both vehicles and cycles, along with a planting scheme and external furniture.
