BARNES’ HAS CELEBRATED ITS 25TH YEAR AT RANSOMES EUROPARK IN IPSWICH WITH A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY CAKE.
In the early 90s, there was a realisation that the number of staff employed by Barnes far exceeded the office space available at their existing New Cut West premises. So, the decision was made to move the operations to a new office in Bermuda Road. No-one was prouder than founder, David Barnes when the move took place in spring 1992.
Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength and along the way, the office premises have also grown, undergoing improvements and alterations to ensure its facilities are more in keeping with a modern family business, employing just over 180 people.
Bermuda Road is ‘home’ to the workforce that make up the extended Barnes’ family; most who live locally. This means that the business genuinely cares about its communities and this enables it to offer that little bit extra, something only a local contractor with local roots would know.
